My Ebay Sucks Blog!

This is a web journal of my thoughts, feelings and opinions of Ebay and why it sucks so much. Ever since they wrongfully suspended my Ebay account I've slipped back deeper into my depression and thought that this journal entry will be like therapy for me....yep I'm feeling better now :) Feel free to add your own comments (good or bad) about Ebay.

ebay sucks so much

Ebay use to be a fun and friendly company but since their competitors have been knocked out of the competition they have become a monopolistic pig. As with most monopolies these days they tend to become arrogant, inefficient and abuse their power.

I like many other victims on ebay had my ebay account suspended due to an 'association' with a suspended account. This is full of crap, I only have one Ebay account, don't know how they came to that conclusion, oh well I won't pay my ebay seller fees ....the only problem is that they'll charge 1.5% late payment fee compounded every month....yikes! talk about a schoolyard bully.

Here is a list of reasons why Ebay sucks:

- they unfairly suspend sellers accounts
- poor customer service
- meg whitman is a bitch
- too much fees
- too many scams

Here are a list of ebay sites that reveals a fraction of the evil behind Ebay:

www.fightebay.com
www.paypalsucks.com

www.powersellersunite.com

this cartoon just sums up how I feel about Ebay

Great Website!
The arrogance of this bloated entity is unknown to many, but to those of us that have been touched by this smug cult...remember, what goes around comes around! For the industry leader to insist that everyone else be performance based, yet Queen eBay chooses to not participate, is hypocritical and shameful. From Wall Street, to the D.o.J. to S.E.C. the death nell has begun.
When I think of the abuse done to handicapped, seniors, single moms, all who depend on this online venue, I'm insulted! Given no evidentiary proof, no, or weak explanations, and sent in frustrating circles, the eBay process is meant to discourage.

But you my friend, should join us in witnessing a huge turn of events. This will be big, because never before has such a bigger business plunged so fast. Smug with conceit, drunk with the wine of excess, eBay doesn't see it coming.

Justice was never easier...you've been NARU'ed for your ineptitude. Aint' gonna work for ya no more Meg! You have friends, screwebay- Regards, Dan

No phone numbers to call
no contacts
ebay will contacts us on its own will
no customer services
they will rip money out of your ban account without any justification if your account is linked with paypal
paypal a bigger thief, will take money out of your account or simply freeze your account, and would not give any justification of its acts. only way out is resolved with their terms and conditions

Ebay and Paypal are blood sucking entity,
they charge enormous fee to sell stuff at pennies,

they would suspend a great seller with 95 or plus feedback, that shows how wise they are or how arrogant they are.
ebay is tax hole for the govermnet, US govt is loosing billions in sales and income Taxes because of Ebay and getting the nation in debt hole. the only company making money is Ebay.

they would not answer your emails for days , if they respond 'answer would be null"

I think every one should post here and write emails to SEc, Consumer affairs, better business bureo, department of Justice.

Some one should post links for such phone numbers and contact info of these governing agencies over here.

Yes Ebay sucks

ebay suspended me for no reason, said I repeatly sold items I wasnt allowed. Doesnt make any sence, I only sold one item, and my windows95 that I was selling with the PC, was pulled off by ebay!
They said I had to included the pc with it, I did included, they didnt see I inluded it, even though I typed that part in red letters! I still have the auction they pulled, and now because I told them ebay shouldnt have pulled my auction, and ebay should read peoples emails and look better at a auction before they pull it? Ebay replays and says im bannded for life!
How rude, I spent a year trying and begging to get back on ebay, and even sent them a copy of my auction that was pulled by accident, but they dont care, after a year of trying to get back on ebay, ebay replys and says, sorry I wont be reinstated, and they will no longer answer my emails! wow, real good business there!
Anyway, I got feed up with them, and just bought a auction website, and we all know ebay hates competiton! haha.
Anyway, please come by a real auction site that treats their customers like gold! Go to: www.barclaysauction.com.
Tell all your friends and family to join, maybe years down the line, I will get as many members as ebay, and ebay will finally have some competition and maybe treat their customers with the repect they deserve! But I wont hold my breath waiting for ebay to be nice.

:)

I have been an eBay member since 1998 until today. I wasn't much of a seller - mostly a buyer. I had been on there so long I didn't have a credit card on file because you didn't need them when I opened my account. That was when it was fun. Now the scammers and eBay "stores" with outrageous shipping charges have taken over and ruined it for the small people. I got sick of constantly trying to figure spoof from fact and closed my PayPal account some time back. Needless to say with so many sellers that insist on only PayPal this didn't leave me much to buy, so why have an account for someone to hijack - which eBay does little about. It was fun while it lasted -

Ebay removed my listings and Suspended me for listing some dvd's that supposedly violated the owners rights. When I replied to them "If thats the case why have you not removed all the other identical listed listed items" The reply came back after about two weeks they only remove listings if there is a complaint. Ok So I got reinstated but was very careful to make sure that any future DVD's I listed were also listed in great quantitys on Ebay, Lo and behold I have been suspended again for three items the first had 637 listings 2nd 192 and the last 167. what I cannot understand is why If I have my Identical listings removed and get suspended don't they remove All of the others. To me it means that they are corrupt, also hypocritical as they are condoning the sale of the items, they say violate the owners rights. Being Cynical I can only put it down to the fact that if they removed everything they were told supposedly violating/infringing the owners rights Ebay would go Bust as they wouldn't get any money coming in.
In the UK we have a saying for companies/people like ebay :- "Don't do as I do DO AS I SAY" meaning ebay can carry on listing the items they say shouldn't be listed and make money out of it but you cant.
To conclude. I do not agree with selling fake copies of DVD's that Is why I insisted on a letter from my supplier stating that they were not fake but Genuine dvd's.
As one of the previous comments stated ebay have knocked out all the competition and think they can say and do what they like.

Would welcome class action lawsuit against the whole ebay empire. Maybe Feds may look at anti-competative business practices.

Ebay have by far the worst customer care that I have ever come across and I am a consumer journalist by trade.
I do some trading on the side on eBay and have raised questions about the unfairness of feedback in that I can sell something for £40 and get one feedback and yet others can sell 400 items for 1p and get 400 feedbacks and eBay dont make a penny. While reporting counterfeit goods I asked about the validity of the 1p sales. I got no response despite several emails to customer care and the top woman herself Meg Whitman. So I said I assume it does not break any rules.
That was two years ago. We decided to try this for ourselves and got suspended and our registered account has been scrapped. Without discussion. An investigation without talking to the accused? That is a kangaroo court. They are not interested in the fact that I raised this before. If they said it was against the rules then I would not have done it. It is the system that is wrong. Patently unfair. But eBay only see one thing and that is money and that everyone is wrong except themselves. Anyway, they want me to start another account from scratch but do not answer any of the questions I have raised. No chance. I need to know where I stand and so does every other seller regarding feedback. And a Fiona Tate from the 'Safety' section has said that if I keep writing to executives I will incur a warning."Please note that we see this as an abuse of our contact channels, and should you not cooperate with us we will have no choice but to issue a warning on your account," she says. So in other words if customer care does not do its job you have no right to complain to an executive. Have you ever heard of such an undemocratic woefully unprofessional organisation in all your life. And it is hilarious that a warning will be put on an account that has been effectively erased. Meanwhile the 1p trades still go on. The feedback system that rewards cheap sales but not the expensive ones stays and I have still to get answers to my questions about why there is not a rule that says 1p ebooks should be banned set in huge letters and why they failed to respond to my emails about whether I could do as everyone else appears to be doing. And counterfeit goods still get traded. Yet she says "you will not be able to see the affects of our investigations first hand, but you can rest assured that we enforce our policies equally on our
community." The reason we cannot see them is because there is none. I have offered to send them a list of the thousands of up to 1p items out there but they are not interested in that. Because there are no rules on eBay. It is an undemocratic anarchy. End of.

we,thankfully were only in ebay for a few weeks,in our second week we were sent a bogus paypal invoice.quit there and then, removed the items we had, cost us for fees.they finaly closed our account a few weks ago.we,l never use ebay ever agian or any other auction site, theres plenty of legitimate store around on the net that will meet a lower price,we use barclay card so its insursed anyway.we were perticualy disturbed by the arragant attitude of the people on the boards on ebay and also on other ebay forums [tiscali for instance] they are so agressive about their master and wont hear anything bad said about it,its the weirdest thing ! any way,we voted with our wallets, cant do more than that,i suggest rather than moaning about it you just get out and stay out, that will hurt them the most.p+g.uk.

Hi everybody,

I just put up a new eBay-related site and thought you might be interested. It's called "eBaiting", and it's something I did earlier this year to bug eBay when they were dragging their feet in permanently closing my account. By doing this I was able to interfere with front-line support's ability to do their jobs. I actually had an impact, they told me so themselves!

Maybe I'm overly optimistic but my theory is that if more people did this, and told eBay why we were doing it, eBay might have to re-evaluate their entire customer service structure. Worst case scenario, it's good for a laugh and a diversion on a boring day, and I can live with that too.

The site is www.eBaiting.com, feel free to link to it. Depending on how many people try to access it at once you may get a "bandwidth exceeded" error... I'm waiting to see how well the site takes off before I move beyond the free hosting plan.

eBay's new fees, as of July 6, 2011, are outrageous. They claim to be lowering their fees, ha, ha, ha. They want you to offer free shipping. The only to offer free shipping w/o killing yourself is to inflate prices. Look up postage rates at the post office website for 3lbs from an east coast zip to a west coast zip. How do you eat that cost? Try out bonanza.com They are trying to be the new "original/old" eBay. The sellers are moving there. If they buyers move there, eBay will start to go down. Help break up the monopoly.

After eBay has the buyer protection, a friend of mine buys everything from eBay for fee. EBay will help you if the seller refuse to refund the full price back to you. All the products are very good, authentic, high end. The tick is that you have to pick right sellers. He now even has a eBay store to sell stuffs. In eBay, you can start a businesses and sell stuffs with cheap price because you pay nothing for your products.

The official soft-launch of the XSClobber Online Auction.
The site is now live. xsclobber.com

Simply put, we think, as millions of others do, that online auctions have taken a horrendous path to the dark side. They suck. They suck really bad.

We long for the good old days when people with excess stuff in their basement could sell it to other people who think that stuff is gold and who can't find it at a reasonable price anywhere else. Everybody wins. What could be better than that?

For the foreseeable future we'll be keeping the site free for everyone. We hope we'll never have to charge anything.

For now we just want everyone to sell and buy and be happy like they once were.

Enough whining: XSClobber is here!

Great article for anti ebay helpers!
Looks like Jerry Demarco and his Brother eBay Spokesman Joe Demarco have been up to some serious public slander these days trying to bring down eBay critic eBayisajoke AKA Seller Critic, the story can be seen here on https://sellercritic.com/bergen-county-dennis-calo/ where the seller critic talks about how the two brothers conspired for eBay inc to ruin a critic's public reputation aka some Corporate Wrongdoing where Joe Demarco got paid with eBay and PayPal swag to construct a Fox 2 News hit piece against him that was started by Jerry Demarco with a PR release and a phone call to Robert Walchek of Fox 2 news. This is what a few bucks gets you when you wanna take someone down that exposed your dirty selling habits like the one Joseph Demarco has where he bullies his buyers. The seller critic exposed eBay's dirty laundry and Hubcapjoes back in 2013 and the feud has been going on for 5 years. Now the eBay seller with eBay immunity doxes the critic's home and workplace. eBay executives are to blame here because they won't terminate the seller's account Hubcapjoes.
